Frequently asked questions
Everything about releases, distribution, the studio, and how we work.
Distribution
How do I release music through Viral Music?
Send a demo or finished tracks through the contact page or email booking@viralmusic.id. Our A&R team reviews it, then guides you through distribution until the release is live on DSPs.
What audio and artwork specs are required?
Lossless WAV/FLAC audio (16-bit/44.1kHz or higher). Square artwork at least 3000x3000px, RGB, no logos/URLs/pricing. Include title, primary artist, and release date.
How long until my release is live on Spotify and other platforms?
After approval, the release is delivered to DSPs. Stores typically take several business days to publish; pre-save/pre-order windows need extra lead time before the release date.
What are ISRC and UPC codes, and do I need my own?
An ISRC identifies a single recording (track); a UPC identifies a release (single/album). If you don't have your own, we can assign them on delivery. Keep the same ISRC for a track so streams and royalties stay linked.
How do I request a release takedown?
A takedown removes a release from stores — it is not instant as DSPs need time to process. Request it through our team; a taken-down release cannot be restored to the same listing.
Studio
What studio services do you offer?
Our studio handles recording, mixing, and mastering — from per-track quality checks to full production. Book via the Studio page or email booking@viralmusic.id.
Royalties
How do royalties and splits work?
Per-track splits divide a track's earnings between collaborators by percentage and must total 100% per track. Royalties are calculated monthly and paid after DSP revenue is confirmed.
